At this awesome island campground right on the Indian River, I enjoyed kayaking around the waters of Long Point Campground in Melbourne Beach, Florida. By far, the highlight of this campground is the proximity to the water, being able to jump into the kayak at any time and basically head in any direction with an abundance of life to explore. The manatee and osprey are in abundance here, giving plenty of photo and video opportunities.
From a photography standpoint, almost all photograph opportunities are from the kayak, which creates a whole new set of fun challenges, particularly in more open water where the kayak is in constant motion. Here are some of my favorite photos from the trip to Long Point Campground in August 2020
